
Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF)
The airport opened as the Springfield–Greene County Airport on July 2, 1945, following bond issues of $350,000 in 1942 and $150,000 in 1945 to assemble the air terminal. It supplanted the Springfield Park and Airport on East Division Street (which currently works as Downtown Airport). Springfield Park was the previous McCluer Flying Field, which opened in 1925 and was bought by the city in 1928; it had booked help by American Airlines and Transcontinental and Western. Contending Branson air terminals
The Branson Airport, in Branson, opened in spring 2009 to contend with the municipally claimed Springfield air terminal. Branson Airport, LLC, is apparently the primary exclusive air terminal in the US having consistently planned business aircraft administration.
